Jacqui Priestley

I am a visual artist exploring the subject of memory.

The works shown here are concerned in particular with those memories that are so significant no matter how much time passes between our experiences of them; we can still recall traces of their presence. They are ‘autobiographical’ in the broadest sense as I believe there are elements within them a shape, a colour, a sense of place which will provide the trigger for the viewer to bring their own individual memories to the experience.

They are part of a much larger body of work which aims to visualise the phenomenology of memory and recollection and serve as a record of the passing of time, visualising human ability to retain and recall experiential memories.
